Through the key hole and into the lions den, Slieve Doan may be small but it sure is a beast on a cold wet and blustery day. The route takes you along a saddle above Lough shannagh.

Looking down Silent valley the cold cloudy morning gives a real sense of foreboding for any walker. The final climb to the peak of Doan gives a great view down into the valley below.
