Slieve Commedagh | Height:- 765m / 2,509ft | Summit Grid Ref:- 347,294
The lesser known peak of Slieve Commedagh is located to the right of the Glen river and is over shadowed by the might of Slieve Donard.
Shan Slieve some 680m lies just below the summit of Commedagh, from here it is a gentle climb to the top, however getting here is a very differant story.....
A small pile of rock known as a cairn is all that marks the summit of Shan Slive.
A quick hop skp and a jump brings you up onto the football pitch sized plataeu that is the top of Slieve Commedagh.
In the distacne one of the many towers located along the Mourne wall. Although you are already some 2500ft up Slieve Donard still dwarfs all the mountains surrounding it..
