Onwards and Upwards

Welcome to Onwards and Upwards. I hope that with the pages and details on this site I can make a visit to the mountains a little more easy.

After moving to Northern Ireland I took up walking and collected over a year or so a lot of pictures, I thought it only fair to share these with the world. In doing so I have put together this wee website that will hopefully prove useful to any would be walkers of the Mournes or any of the other mountainous regions that I have been lucky enough to visit. 

Well have a good look around hope you find the following pages and links useful in either deciding were to walk or where to go. Look out for more changes to this site as it is still in development and am planning to do more trekking about around Britain and possible other mountains in the world. My eventual aim is to climb Everest before I reach the ripe old age of 40. Teaming up with me is a good friend and together we have traversed nearly all of the Mournes and have made it a goal to venture further a field over the next few years.
